Suffolk Blogger Series: Meet Alexa Dione

Suffolk Blogger Series with Alexa Dione

Next up in our Suffolk Blogger Series is a chat with the lovely Alexa from www.alexadione.co.uk

Hi Alexa, how long have you been blogging for?

Properly, for a year now.

What made you want to start blogging?

I’ve always enjoyed writing. I loved English language and studied it at A level but I then went on to do a media course at college and learned the basics on making a website so when I left, I thought I’d give it a go.

That’s amazing! Tell me more about your blog? What’s it all about?

There wasn’t really anything I felt I could specialise in, so I opted for just being me, creating a personal/lifestyle blog detailing all the things I get up to as I try to navigate my way through my early twenties which is actually very difficult! Hence the documentation.

I love reading your blog so much! What’s your favourite thing to write about?

Thank you that’s so sweet! I always think people never really read it! Ooh nothing too specific really, I did enjoy writing my post about my self-confidence journey because I felt so good not only about getting it all out there as well as it being one of my best bits of writing! It got a fab response too!

That is such an interesting journey to follow and it can help so many people! What do you think the best part of blogging is?

I like to think so! I love the community I’ve become a part of. I’ve met some wonderful people through blogging and this Instagram account; it’s a really positive place for me! So much so I very rarely use my personal account now. The support I get on every picture and blog post is so heart-warming I love it!

I love how the blogging community brings like-minded people together. Where’s your favourite place to go for Insta pictures in Suffolk?

Definitely! Well I work full time, often 6 days and more than 40 hours so I rarely get the chance to scour locations unfortunately! It’s more of an as and when situation but anything that’s floral or a lot of greenery and I’m there!

The picture from the recent Suffolk blogger meet up when you went pumpkin picking looks so cute and autumnal! What’s one piece of clothing that you can’t live without?

Thanks! All credit to the wonderful Suffolk blogger meet-ups! Ooh definitely my Primark mom jeans, they fit me perfectly and they were a bargain as well as going with everything! Dress them up or down.

I love mom jeans, such a basic for the wardrobe. Final question, what are your future plans for your blog and what advice would you give to new bloggers?

100%! I’d like to expand it and incorporate some photos into it too. I’ve actually already got something in the works but I’d really like it to be a full-time thing, I love it so much. My advice is to keep going. Even when you think you’re stuck or you’re never going to reach a certain number of followers, keep going! As long as people are engaging with you and what you’re doing, you’re on the right track.

Thank you so much Alexa for your time!
