Suffolk Blogger Series: Meet Harriet from Bliss Your Day

Suffolk Blogger Series with Harriet from Bliss Your Day

Next in our Suffolk Blogger Series, we talk to Harriet from the blog Bliss Your Day.

How long have you been blogging for?

I started blogging properly as Bliss Your Day in December last year after having the Instagram blog since April.

Your blog is all about wellness and self care, what inspired you to start your blog?

I was struggling a bit with my own mental health and wanted something positive to focus on after starting to look after myself a bit more. By posting about my journey I thought it would help my progress and also encourage others to focus on their wellbeing a bit more

That’s such a great way of helping yourself and helping others! Is there anything in particular that you like to write about? And why?

Thank you! I hope it does help at least one person. I really enjoy writing about self care because it’s something that made such a difference to my own life. Sharing ideas and helping with how to take the time to look after yourself, however much time you have, is something I really love to talk about!

What are your future plans for your blog? Would you ever want to try any other platforms like podcasts/YouTube etc?

I’m really passionate about encouraging self care for everyone. I would love to attend more wellness events for inspiration and eventually a self care podcast would be amazing! I’m really interested in doing a bit on IGTV as I love Instagram as a platform

What advice would you give to new bloggers?

There’s so much content on IGTV and loads of it is positive! I would say just go for it! Write in the same way you would have a chat with someone so that your personality comes through. Just be yourself and make it personal when it suits what you are writing about. People can relate to you more when you open up a bit. Just enjoy and see where it takes you!

Also try not to worry about the aesthetics too much to begin with. We all start somewhere and your picture and writing will progress as times goes on.

That is great advice. And final question, what are three things you can’t live without?

It’s so hard to pick three as I’m so indecisive. Probably my dog, food and music (friends and family are a given on that one!)

Thank you so much Harriet for your time! Make sure to check out Bliss Your Day!
