After the heat wave this summer, I am SO ready for pumpkin season. Here are the top places to go pumpkin picking in Suffolk in 2022.

Frogs Farm, Thwaite (near Eye)

Enjoy pumpkin picking at Frogs Farm. There will also be different street food vendors each week including Fully Loaded Fries, Bagel or Beigel, The Suffolk Smoke Co, Bakeaholics and Burger Jam Street Food.

Open Sat 8 – Sun 9 Oct, Sat 15 – Sun 16 Oct, Sat 22-Wed 26 October. 9.30am-4.30pm. Tickets are £2.50 & under 16’s go free.

Southwold Maize Maze

Midnyx’s Pumpkin Patch will be open at Southwold Maize Maze. Other Halloween activities at the site include the Cheeky Monster Maze, pedal go karts, a fortune teller and haunted house. There will also be face painting and pumpkin carving to enjoy! Parents will be pleased to hear there is a café too.

Sat 15 & Sun 16 October, Tues 18 -Sunday 30 October. 9.30am-4pm.

Rougham Estate, near Bury St Edmunds

Rougham Estate, which is well-known and loved for Blackthorpe Barns, will be hosting a PYO Pumpkin field this October.

Entry and parking are free, and there’s no need to book, just go along and pick your pumpkins! There will be coffee, snacks, toasties and ice-creams available. Kids can enjoy the sandpit and games, and there will be lots of photo opportunities!

The Helmingham Pumpkin Patch, between Framlingham and Needham Market

Pick your own pumpkin and squash near the beautiful estate of Helmingham Hall. Entry is free, just pay for the pumpkins you pick!

Open all weekends throughout October, and all through October Half Term. 10am-4pm.

Wrentham Pumpkins, near to Southwold, Beccles and Lowestoft

Wrentham Pumpkins has over 12,000 pumpkins to choose from! Enjoy a trail through the Christmas trees and take part in fun games.

Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 October and Saturday 22 – Sunday 30 October, 9am-4pm.

Siam Hall Spooky Pumpkins, Boxford near Sudbury

We featured the super spooky Siam Hall pumpkin patch in our Autumn 2021 Magazine! Head down to Abbi and Will’s farm on the Suffolk/Essex border and pick your pumpkins. There’s a pop-up café on site and places for a picnic.

Open from 22 October – 30 October. 10am-4pm.
