Book a candlelit dinner

Spoil the special person in your life with a romantic Valentine’s dinner by candlelight amongst the oak beams at the 15th century Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa.

A selection of à la carte dishes will be on offer, or treat your partner to the special five-course Valentine’s menu, which includes a vegan option, and is only available on 14 February. It begins with a selection of tasty canapés followed by two starters including a duck liver terrine with Parma ham and torched mackerel. For mains there’s a choice of either beef or artichoke dishes followed by a chocolate or poached pear dessert.

Go climbing

If you both love a bit of adventure, then this could be a fantastic date activity. The indoor climbing wall at Clip ‘n Climb in Ipswich doesn’t require any previous experience to take part. You’ll have a safety briefing before you’re let loose on the walls.
