Dial Lane Books

A new independent bookshop in Ipswich opened to much anticipation recently! Owner of Dial Lane Books, Andrew Marsh, has a great love of reading and wanted to share his passion by opening a bookshop. His aim is to offer the people of Suffolk an alternative to shopping online or in larger chain stores. Dial Lane will focus on showcasing new authors and small publishers. As a Lonely Planet Guide Stockist it will have a large selection of travel books, as well as children’s books and a range of fiction and non-fiction.

Yaffle House

Yaffle House focuses on flavour to create the most amazing handmade marshmallows and fruit vinegar. Founded by Dawn Knutton, this artisan business loves to work alongside their customers to make bespoke orders for special events, such as weddings. Dawn even creates customised flavours! She finds inspiration from the Suffolk Countryside and uses locally produced apple cider vinegar and sugar.

Floreat Pottery

Floreat Pottery was founded by Clare Negus and is based in the lovely town of Stowmarket. Clare is inspired by nature and the colours, contours and textures that surround her in the countryside. She takes this inspiration and creates handmade stoneware ceramics for home and garden. Stoneware clay is used to create the beautiful pieces for your home and garden. The pieces are durable, water resistant and hard wearing so that you can get the most out of your product.

Jeffrey Knights Clocks

Jeffrey Knights is a designer and maker of modern crafted clocks with over 25 years of experience in fine woodworking. He gained clock making experience from his father who was a maker of wooden case clocks for 35 years. Jeffrey creates his designs using a mix of contrasting timber. The clocks are the perfect addition to any room in your house or office. He can also create custom design ideas to meet your preferences.

The Sleep Studio

Based in Bramford, near Ipswich, The Sleep Studio creates luxurious bedding from British wool. The owners of The Sleep Studio have diversified from sheep farming by converting an outbuilding into a beautiful bedding showroom. Here you can see the full range of machine washable, organic bedding and beds made from the traditional raw material. The wool used is chemical free, hypoallergenic, sustainable and biodegradable, as well as being incredibly soft and comforting. Visit the showroom for more information.
