Diary dates for 2020

Welcome 2020 and a new decade! What will this one bring? Well, we’ve put together a selection of diary dates for 2020 including the top events in Suffolk not to miss this year!

2^nd Feb – Yoga Day Retreat

Join yoga teacher Diana Malone for a day retreat at Brandeston Village Hall. The day will include specific Water Element Energy Medicine Yoga, Yin Yoga, Lymphatic clearing, Trauma Release Exercise, Reiki Drum Journey, mindfulness walking and meditation – sounds amazing to me!

15^th -24^th May – Bury St Edmunds Festival

The 10 day Bury St Edmunds Festival returns with a line up of classical, blues, theatre and much more. The whole town gets involved with this festival of music, art and performances.

27^th– 28^th May – Suffolk Show

The Suffolk Show returns for classic family fun. This annual institution showcases all of what’s great about Suffolk. From local wildlife to agriculture, farm animals to food producers.

19^th June – 7^th August – Newmarket Nights

The Newmarket Racecourses will be hosting Newmarket Nights again this summer. On 19^th June see The Script, then on 26^th June watch Bryan Ferry, 31^st July is an evening with Rick Astley and 7^th August is Jack Savoretti.

20^th-21^st June – First Light Festival

First Light returns during the longest day of the year. The 24-hour festival on Lowestoft beach is a fun, free event for all the family. Featuring music, art, science and sport, all on a beautiful beach.

4^th July – Fit East 2020

Fit East is back, even bigger and better than ever! The popular health and fitness festival at Trinity Park will be teaming up with the organisers behind the Henham Park Festival of Running to add a number of running challenges to the event. Find out more about the event by clicking here.

9^th-11^th July – Moet and Chandon July Festival

The July Festival at Newmarket Racecourse is a favourite summer event. Get dressed up and place your bets on the winners.

16^th-19^th July – Latitude

I’m already excited for this one. Bring on those warm nights dancing to live music – yes please! Part of the Latitude line-up has been announced already; Haim, Liam Gallagher, The Chemical Brothers, Keane, Michael Kiwanuka, The Lumineers and Bill Bailey.

26^th-27^th September – Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival

Local foodies will definitely want to have this date in their diary. The Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival has a huge number of stalls from local food producers, as well as cookery demonstrations and workshops.
