This month we’ve put the small business spotlight on 5 independent health, beauty and wellness business in and around Suffolk.

Dolled Up, Halesworth

Salon owner, Emma Hayes, founded Dolled Up in 2013 and since then she has grown a strong client base. Emma Hayes is also an award-winning Nail Technician as she received the 2018 Nail Technician of the Year in The British Hair and Beauty Awards.

There is no end to what Dolled up offers, the quality of service is amazing and the range of options for nails is endless. The designs are stunning and are hand painted by Emma and her colleague Kate.

Kate creates high quality nails and has training in facial waxing, spray tans and hi-precision brows. The pair offer a wide range of treatments including bespoke gel nails, acrylic nails, nail art, eyelash and eyebrow tints, waxing, spray tans and more.

 

The Garden Room Skincare Salon

The Garden Room Skincare Salon opened in early August this year, so a very new and fresh business! Based in Trimley St Mary, the salon offers a space where clients can come and relax, increase their well-being and indulge in some well-deserved skincare treatments.

The salon uses 100% organic skincare brand Made for Life. The skincare salon offers 3 types of facials and 2 massages including; the signature Uplift & Rejuvenating Facial (90 minutes of Japanese and Indian inspired massage), Made For Life Radiance Facial (one hour), Beauty Boosting Facial (40 minutes), Made For Life Deep Tissue and Traditional Swedish Massage (both one hour). All facials and massages start with some gentle stretching to relax the body and finish with infused water and a homemade made fruit jelly! Sounds heavenly!

Maharishi AyurVeda Health Centre, Rendlesham

Based in the gorgeous surroundings of Rendlesham, the Maharishi AyurVeda Health Centre is the place to go to relax. AyurVeda comes from the Vedic tradition of India and has been in clinical use for more than 5,000 years. Using Maharishi AyurVeda, a holistic approach to health that looks beyond changing the physical structure of the body and focuses on self-organising value of intelligence. This involves employing 20 systematic approaches to health from the mind, body, behaviour and environment.

Maharishi AyurVeda believes that the origin of existence is the field of pure intelligence or pure consciousness. This Health Centre offers a range of treatments including: Abhyanga (full body massage), Nasya (nasal and sinus treatment), Uzhichil (invigorating massage), Shirodhara (mind calming treatment) and lots more. Matspace, Framlingham

This barefoot studio in Framlingham offers a number of different classes and a variety of yoga practices. Try out yoga for the first time in a beginner’s class, or try Yin, Aerial or Hot variations. The relaxed feel of this studio creates the perfect setting for a rejuvenating class, and there’s also a café downstairs where you can enjoy healthy snacks and drinks. There are special classes for kids and teens to introduce them to yoga and mindfulness.

Heavenly Hair, Saxmundham

Heavenly Hair opened in Saxmundham in 2015, bringing together 20 years of national and international experience. Whether you’re looking for wedding hairstyles, a re-style, colour or specialist treatment, Heavenly will make you look and feel beautiful! The team are very friendly and knowledgeable and make everyone feel special as soon as they walk into the door.
