5th June – Photo Walkshop

Join the Photo Walkshop around Walberswick and learn how to use your DSLR camera. Walk, talk and learn during this fun evening event. Start at 7pm and take a stroll whilst learning new techniques and skills. At the end, the group will head to the pub for a pint and to carry on the conversation! 6th June – Writers Workshop at Orford Ness National Nature Reserve

A full day of writing and exploring Orford Ness – sounds like a day well spent to me! This workshop is led by landscape writer Liz Ferretti. The day will be spent in guided exploration and writing with a lunch-time writer’s surgery.

7th -9th June – Alive & V-Dubbin Festival

This family festival is back with live bands, VW autojumble, archery, laser tag, craft workshops, DJ lessons, woodland walks, bike show and much more!

8th June – Africa by Night at Africa Alive!

See the zoo like never before! There will be African-style street food, a Ferris Wheel, bar, Mighty Zulu Nation performance and live music – and of course you’ll see the animals by night!

9th June – Taste of Sudbury Food & Drink Festival

Head to St Peter’s Church and Market Hill in Sudbury for the Food & Drink Festival. 60 producers will be attending and eight Suffolk chefs will be running free, interactive cooking demos on the stage.

15th June –Fram Makers Market

Come along and shop local at the Fram Makers Market. If you’re looking for unique gifts or a little treat for yourself, have a browse! There will be prints, jewellery, candles, macramé, ceramics, embroidery and more. The event will run from 10am-3pm at the Framlingham Unitarian Meeting House.

17th– 30th June – Richard White Exhibition at The Green Room, Ipswich

Local artist, Richard White, will be one of the first to exhibit at a new café and gallery space in Ipswich this summer.
The Green Room, on St Margaret’s Green in Ipswich, will provide local artists a space to exhibit their latest works. Richard will be one of the first artists to occupy the walls of the café with an exhibition running from 17th June – 30th June 2019.

21st– 23rd June – Suffolk Weekend at the Sorrel Horse Shottisham

Join the team at the Sorrel Horse in Shottisham for live music all weekend. On the Friday, meet the Oakham Ales brewery for beer tasting, pizza and nibbles. For the full line up, head to the website.

22nd– 23rd June – First Light Festival

Non-stop festival action for 24 hours!! Come along for live music, late-night DJ sets, astronomy talks, poetry workshops, yoga classes, film screenings, talks and workshops. Lowestoft Beach will be transformed into a hub of exciting shared experiences.

22nd– 29th June – Southwold Arts Festival

Head to Southwold for the Arts Festival and enjoy a range of activities and events. Come along for opera, jazz, blues, classical and country music, as well as talks, comedy, demonstrations and more.

22nd June – Suffolk Pride at Ipswich Waterfront

The parade will start at midday near DanceEast and finish outside Cult Café. There will be live music, food and drink and stalls.

27th June – Instagram for Business Workshops, Ipswich

We’re running the Instagram for Business Workshops again! Andy and I will be hosting the Instagram for Business Workshops at The Studio on St Peter’s Street in Ipswich. If you’d like to learn how to reach your target customers on Instagram and make it work for your business, then come along to our fun, informal workshop! Plus, there’s cake! We’ll show you how to take high quality Instagram photos, research hashtags, schedule content and analyse the results.

The first session will be between 10am-12pm and the second 1:30-3:3pm. If you’d like to ask me any questions, drop me an email!

29th-30th June – Magical Unicorn Weekend at Easton Farm Park

Can I get away with going to this?! A magical weekend with lots of sparkly, glittery fun – and meeting actual unicorns! Entry includes all the rides and activities.

29th– 30th June – Low House LitFest

Head to the Low House in Laxfield for a literary festival entitled ‘Books & Beer on the Blyth.’ There will be a number of talks including local authors discussing their Suffolk based books, a conversation around romance writing in the age of #metoo and children’s events.
