Why you should go to Framlingham this Saturday

Fram Makers Market

Looking for something to do this weekend? There’s plenty going on across the county – but especially in Framlingham.

First of all, the regular Saturday market will be on Market Hill – pick up fresh produce, refresh yourself at a stall and shop from local makers.

Across from the market, Matspace will be open with a DJ playing. Pop in to check out the new barefoot studio and there’s also a little café to enjoy.

Next door Alphabet Sweats will be opening its HQ for you to peruse its gorgeous range of athleisure clothing for both adults and kids. Alphabet Sweats will also be hosting other local brands including paintings from Anna Mac, macramé plant hangers from Source Book for the Senses and items from Lift Store and Pump Street Chocolate.

Then head down the hill to find the Fram Makers Market at the Unitarian Meeting House on Bridge Street. The market is full of lovely creations from local makers, including prints from the organiser Unruly Print, embroidery and letterpress cards from Mitchell Finch and lighting from Darren Ritchie Makes.

After you’ve thoroughly explored the independent businesses in town, why not head up to the castle for a display of jousting? Watch the knights prepare for battle and discover what life was like in a medieval encampment. Kids will love this day out, as they can go to sword school before watching the jousts take place at 12:30pm and 3:30pm. Buy your tickets before Friday 27th July and receive 10% off.
