Latitude Festival Hacks

After thinking I would be giving Latitude a miss this year, it turns out I’m going for work wahoo! I thought I’d put together some helpful hacks for those who are heading to Latitude for the first time.

Download the Latitude app

The Latitude app has a map of the site as well as the set times for each stage so you’ll never miss your favourite acts. Use the app and save your arms carrying around a programme all weekend.

Decide where to camp in advance

The yellow campsite is closer to the entrance of the festival, but when I used to go it was always the party campsite. There is a large family camping section (orange) if you’re going with little ones and the red and green campsites are a bit quieter. Make sure you remember where you pitched your tent as the site looks very different by night – put up a flag or tie brightly coloured bunting around your tent to help you find it.

Get to the Comedy Arena early

If there’s a comedy act that you’re desperate to see, it’s a good idea to get to the comedy tent well in advance to find a space inside. The comedy tent is always busy and people often pitch up in the morning and stay all day (that’s what my friends and I used to do!).

Pack a swimsuit

A swimsuit is handy not just for the showers but also to go swimming in the lake! If we still have this heatwave at the weekend then a refreshing dip in the lake will be much needed. Apparently this year there will be escorted adventure swimming around the site, sounds amazing!

And last but by no means least…bring toilet roll!!

A must have for any festival – bring toilet roll. Or lots of mini packs of tissues to stuff in your pockets…no explanation needed!

Hope you all have an amazing weekend! See you there!
