White Horse Easton: Burger & Pint Night

A few weeks ago we visited the White Horse at Easton for dinner. We’d been meaning to go for ages as it’s only about 15 minutes from our house, and we finally got around to it on a beautiful summer’s evening.

The quaint country inn has recently had a menu overhaul to revert back to traditional pub food. The new menu features charcoal grilled steak, fresh pizzas from the stone pizza oven and classic Sunday roasts.

Every Thursday the White Horse has a special offer for a meal and drink for £10. On this particular Thursday we went along for the Burger & Pint night. (Find out what’s on this week by clicking here)

We booked a table a couple of days before as we’d heard that the pub gets very busy for these special offer events, and we were glad we did as the place was packed.

The pub has recently been renovated and looks beautiful. It has been tastefully decorated and remains in-keeping with the age of the property. We could have bought our new puppy along with us as the pub is dog-friendly but at the time he was still too young to go outside.

On to the food and of course we both had to order the burgers as they were on special! My other half ordered his with bacon and cheese – and as you can see the burger was deliciously cheesy! He said that the burger patty tasted of good quality meat and he polished the whole thing off rather quickly.

I opted for the veggie burger, and although it was nice, it did lack a little flavour. The lentils created a different texture which I liked, but I think there needed to be more tomatoes and perhaps a little kick of spice to add that extra something. The skin on chips were delish though!

We would definitely go back another time and try a meal from the full menu…and bring Hudson along now he’s older!
