Ways To Lift The January Blues On The Suffolk Coast

We’ve found the best things to do to lift the January blues on the Suffolk Coast.

January can feel like a long month with the cold weather, the extra pounds we’ve accumulated around our middle and the pounds we’ve lost in our bank accounts after the busy festive period. If you’re looking for some things to do on our coast to lift the January blues you’ve come to the right county!

The Magic Of Minsmere
Join a weekday walk and explore the magic of Minsmere. The beautiful scenery and multitude of fascinating wildlife is bound to lift your spirits, even if the weather is a bit chilly! Wrap up warm and crunch through the frost and enjoy this local winter wonderland.
The walks commence at 9:30am on weekdays and last 2-3 hours, adults cost £8 and children £4 plus usual reserve entry fees.

Pride and Prejudice
With the re-telling of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies soon arriving to our local cinema screens, why not go back and experience the original. The Cut in Halesworth will host the play of Jane Austen’s novel from Friday 22nd Jan – Saturday 23rd Jan.

Under The Pier Show
If you haven’t already visited the Under The Pier Show on Southwold Pier, it will most certainly lift any January blues you could be feeling! Full of hilarious amusement machines, with a twist, experience a photo-booth with a mind of it’s own, take a ‘dog’ for a ‘walk’ (you’ll see what we mean) and maybe even handle plutonium rods! Tim Hunkin’s have been delighting visitors for years, it will definitely cheer you up on a cold winter’s day!

Brewery Tour
Adnams is certainly a Suffolk institution, so if you need something to cheer you up during the dark days of January, what better than a tour around the brewery. Find out who the super popular local beer is made and then have a tasting session before collecting a complimentary bottle in the Adnams Cellar and Kitchen store. You’ll even get 10% off in the shop! If this doesn’t cheer you up, we don’t know what will!
