For The Kids:
Clash Of Knights – 3rd & 4th May – Framlingham Castle
Now I know I said this is one for the kids, but to be honest, you’ll find me at this brilliant event this bank holiday. A favourite of my friendship group, we love going along and picking a team to back as the ranks of knights battle it out to take over Framlingham Castle. Bring a picnic and revel in the atmosphere of the encampment as the kids enjoy the buzz of medieval life and watch as history comes alive. The backdrop of the castle walls, that date back to 1189, are the perfect scene for this siege day.
All About Sheep – 4th May – Easton Farm Park
See sheep shearing and wool spinners at Easton Farm Park this bank holiday. As we’re now well and truly into spring, learn more about the lovely little lambs we see in the fields at this time of year. Join the sheep trail to find out more about all things sheepish.
For The Collectors:
Beccles Antiques Street Market – 3rd May
The first of two street markets in Beccles this year, you’ll be able to explore 100 general and specialist dealers selling a range of antiques and collectables. Search for silver, china, furniture, jewellery, and books amongst the huge array of stalls, and explore the town where many of the local shops and restaurants will be hosting special offers and celebrations.

Aldeburgh Craft Fair – 2nd to 4th May – Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall
Open daily from 10am-5pm, browse a selection of homemade gifts from some of the best East Anglian craft producers. And why not take a stroll along the beach while you’re in the town – don’t forget the fish and chips!
For The Real Ale Fans:
Summer Beer Festival – 2nd & 3rd May – The Ship at Dunwich
What better way to spend the bank holiday than at a real ale weekend at a local pub? Hosting live music, craft stalls, a huge variety of local ales, and of course the pub’s famous fish and chips, head down to The Ship this bank holiday and sample beers from Adnams, Green Jack, Grain, Cliff Quay, Humpty Dumpty, Earl Soham and more.
So get out there and See Suffolk!
