Your Guide to…Framlingham
Last Saturday, we decided to go somewhere different for our afternoon out. My mum and I always catch up over coffee and cake at the weekend, and we hadn’t been to any cafés in Framlingham for years, so we thought it was high time that we made the trip.

As soon as we got there, we headed up to the marketplace, and were greeted by sight of a group of people basking in the sunshine outside The Dancing Goat Café. Thinking that this must be the place for afternoon tea, we weren’t disappointed!
Having my daily Diet Coke fix and a slice of tempting tiffin, we sat by the door of the café to enjoy the delicious treats and relaxing atmosphere. You could tell that the café is a real hub for the townspeople, with all ages whiling away the hours there. The friendly staff, complimentary wi-fi and Ed Sheeran memorabilia hanging off the walls, completed the sense of community spirit the café has created. My mum is well known for her love of coffee, and she told me that The Dancing Goat’s was top notch; we will definitely be returning very soon!
Whilst in Framlingham, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a bit of retail therapy! Tucked away in The Mews, at the corner of the Market Hill, we came across Ruby Tyger, a fabulous gift and clothes shop where I fell in love with so many items! Their wash bags with cute animal illustrations were just gorgeous, as were the range of beautiful, yet affordable, jewellery.
Next, we popped into Leo’s Deli to pick up a Father’s Day gift. The Deli smelt amazing with so many mouth-watering products available. Stocking British, French and European cheeses, freshly baked bread and over 120 different chocolates, we could have bought so many things for him, but in the end we settled for a dessert wine as an after dinner treat.
Finally, we stopped off at Outside In on Bridge Street. A great find with a mix of home ware, garden accessories, gifts and even bath products, you’re bound find the perfect gift or a little something for yourself when you visit! I love the typewriter purse you can see in foreground, very appropriate for a writer I thought! And even though I know nothing about gardening, the teacup and teapot bird feeders were ingenious!
After a lovely afternoon out, we both agreed that we’d certainly be back very soon! And I hope I’ve inspired you to see Framlingham too!
