A Stylish Evening Out at the Style Edit

The Style Edit

Last week saw the first Style Edit catwalk event at The Granary Estates in Woodditton near Newmarket.

The Style Edit took place on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th May and I headed over after work on Friday to indulge in a little shopping and local style.

There were a number of pop-up shops to peruse before the catwalk show began. Homeware brands Playhaus and Tonic Style displayed gorgeous interior collections, new eco-friendly sunglasses brand, Wild Wood, revealed its handcrafted eyewear and Pinkster Gin and Cocoa May brownies kept the crowd fed and watered.

The catwalk show was sleek and professional with well thought-out choreography and a mix of independent and high street outfits. Depending on the theme of the collections, the models would either be strong and fierce or smiling and dancing – it made a lovely change to see the models enjoying themselves on the catwalk and encouraged the audience to get involved with clapping along to the music.

I particularly liked the outfits from La Boutique in Bury St Edmunds and the bright dresses from Martha V that were perfect for the races or a summer wedding. The stunning bridal wear from Lara B was another stand out moment for me.

I had a really great evening at The Style Edit and the Style Squad backstage did a fantastic job! I’m looking forward to the autumn/winter show already!
